Brazilian Cherry Hardwood Floors/Brazilian Cherry Parquet Floors
1. Wood floor - Jatoba
Although it is widely named "Brazilian Cherry" (primarily among flooring sellers), it is not at all related to the domestic cherry (Prunus serotina) found in the United States, except that its natural color may be very close to the dyed color commonly found in the domestic Aged/stained reddish brown cherries seen on some interior furniture.
Jatoba is extremely hard, strong, and rigid—one of the hardest woods in the world. Wood is used in a wide variety of applications including: flooring, furniture, cabinets, tool handles, boat building, railroad ties, turned items and other small specialty items.
