Cas 7440-33-7 99.999% W pure tungsten powder

PRODUCT DETAIL
Product Description
Tungsten powder is a gray-black metal (body-centered cubic crystal) with metallic luster. Melting point 3400℃. Boiling point 5555℃. Tungsten is the hardest metal among metals. The hardness of the sintered tungsten rod is 200~250, and the hardness of the tungsten rod after electric hammering is 350~400. Mixed acid soluble in nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. Melt with a mixture of sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate. Slightly soluble in nitric acid, sulfuric acid and aqua regia; insoluble in water, hydrofluoric acid and potassium hydroxide. Tungsten comes in two variants: Type A and Type B. At standard temperature and atmospheric pressure, Type A is a stable body-centered cubic structure. Type B tungsten can only appear in the presence of oxygen. It is stable below 630℃ and converted into α-tungsten above 630℃, and this process is irreversible.

application
Tungsten is mainly used in the production of cemented carbide and ferrotungsten. Tungsten forms heat-resistant and wear-resistant alloys with chromium, molybdenum, and cobalt, and is used in the manufacture of tools, metal surface hardening materials, gas turbine blades, and combustion tubes. Tungsten forms refractory alloys with tantalum, niobium, molybdenum, etc. Tungsten copper and tungsten silver alloys are used as electrical contact materials. High-density tungsten-nickel-copper alloy is used as radiation shielding. Metal tungsten wire, rods, sheets and other parts are used to make light bulbs, electron tubes and arc welding electrodes. Tungsten powder can be sintered into filters with various porosity. Used as raw material for large slabs and tungsten-rhenium galvanic couples. Used for contact alloys and high specific gravity shielding materials. Used for plasma spraying materials. Tungsten powder is the main raw material for processing powder metallurgy tungsten products and tungsten alloys. Pure tungsten powder can be made into wires, rods, tubes, plates and other processing materials and some special-shaped products. Tungsten powder is mixed with other metal powders to make various tungsten alloys, such as tungsten-molybdenum alloy, tungsten-rhenium alloy, tungsten-copper alloy and high-density tungsten alloy, etc. Another important application of tungsten powder is the production of tungsten carbide powder to prepare carbide cutting tools, such as turning tools, milling cutters, drill bits and molds.
