deck machinery

1) General

As far as classification is concerned, all deck machinery and equipment have been supplied and installed. All the specified equipment shall be provided by the builder, who can be responsible for installation, commissioning or stowage according to the situation.

2) Deck fittings mooring posts

Eight (8) double mooring bollards of 10" NB heavy duty pipe are installed on the main deck as shown on the drain.

Small lugs for lashing portable tire fenders welded to the deck shall be provided.

Steel lugs welded to the deck for lashing tire fenders, 3.048 m on both sides and stern. Tire fenders strapped with chains are supplied and arranged at 3m intervals

One (1) flush manhole in each void compartment

Manhole size is 600x400mm clear opening. Studs and nuts are stainless steel.

Coating, cathodic protection

1) Surface preparation

The surface of steel plates and profiles used in ship construction shall be cleaned to SA2.5 by shot peening. After fabrication, all damaged areas, welds, weld burns, etc. should be repaired with power tool cleaning and/or wire brushing. All surfaces should be clean, free of grease and residual dirt, and dry before painting.
