Product Description
A planetary gear design has three satellite gears that rotate on their axis while simultaneously rotating around a central rudder shaft. This allows for an equal distribution of engine torque across the three points of the central gear, dividing and balancing system loads. The benefits of this particular design are extended system life, increased efficiency and reduced engine feed recirculation compared to single pinion rudders.
