Product Description
POM(polyoxymethylene),Also known as acetal, polyacetal, and polyoxymethylene, is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction, and excellent dimensional stability. Like many other synthetic polymers, it is produced by different chemical companies with slightly different formulations and sold under various namesDelrin, Kocetal, Ultraform, Celcon, Ramtal, Duracon, Kepital, Polypenco, Tenac and Hostaform.POM is characterized by high strength, hardness and stiffness at -40 °C. POM is inherently opaque white due to its high crystalline content, but can be produced in a variety of colors. The density of POM is 1.410–1.420 g/cm3.
Typical applications for injection molded POM include high performance engineered parts such as pinion gears, eyeglass frames, ball bearings, ski bindings, fasteners, firearm components, knife handles and locking systems. The material is widely used in the automotive and consumer electronics industries. The resistivity of POM is 14×1015 Ω·cm, making it a dielectric with a breakdown voltage of 19.5MV/m.

Electrical engineering: insulators, bobbins, connectors, TV sets, telephones and other electronic equipment parts Vehicles: fuel transmitters, lights/lever levers/combination switches (including light shifters, turn signals), power windows, door locks system, articulated housing. ●Model: model railway parts, such as wagons (bogies), handrails (handlebars), etc. POM is tougher than ABS, has bright translucent colors, and is not paintable. ●Hobbies: remote control helicopter main landing gear, landing gear, yo-yo, electronic cigarette drip nozzle, 3D printing wheel, K'Nex, ball joint doll, etc. ●Medical: insulin pen, metered dose inhaler (MDI). ●Food Industry: The US Food and Drug Administration has approved certain grades of POM for use in milk pumps, coffee faucets, filter housings and food conveyors. ●Furniture: hardware, locks, handles, hinges, rollers of furniture sliding mechanism ●Structure: structural glass-pointed bracket ●Package: aerosol cans, automobile fuel tanks. ●Pen: Used as the material of pen body and pen cap. ●Sports: paintball accessories. It is often used for machined parts of paintball pens that do not require the strength of aluminum, such as handles and reciprocating bolts. POM is also used in airsoft guns to reduce piston noise. ●Long Skate: The puck material used in skating gloves helps riders contact the road and rely on their hands to slow down, stop or perform tricks. ●Clothing: zipper. ●Music: picks, Irish flutes, bagpipes, etudes, harpsichord picks, instrument mouthpieces, tips of some drum sticks. ● Catering: fully automatic coffee machines; knife handles (especially folding knives). ●Watches: mechanical movement parts (such as Lemania 5100), bracelets (such as IWC Porsche Design 3701). ●Vapor/vaping accessories: The material used to make most "drip tips" (cigarette holders). ●Tobacco products: BIC Group's lighters use Delrin. ● Keyboard keycaps: Cherry's G80 and G81 series keyboards use POM.
