The dielectric constant of pps is very small, the dielectric loss is quite low, the surface resistivity and volume resistivity is not sensitive to changes in frequency, temperature, humidity, is an excellent electrical insulation material. pps chemical stability is quite good, except for the erosion of strong oxidizing acids, such as concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid and aqua regia, it is not subject to the erosion of most acid and alkali salts, with chemical stability close to PTFE. PPS good radiation resistance, in electronics, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, aviation, aerospace, military and other fields, especially atomic bombs, neutron bombs, is as the only ideal excellent material for radiation resistance. Pure PPS at a thickness of 0.8 mm will pass the V0 level. Basically, in addition to a few grades such as ultra-tough series, the flammability of various grades of PPS are V-0, in the flammability has been the best grade. Super tough series PPS contains some toughening agents, will sacrifice some flammability. Pure PPS and PPS grades without added conductive materials have excellent electrical insulation properties.
