Coffee Troubleshooting

Which gas should I choose?
2 different gases can be used when producing coffee, cocktails, etc. Pure nitrogen (N2) and nitrogen oxides (N2O). Both can be used,It's a matter of personal preference, but they behave slightly differently and it may take some experimentation to get the results you want.
We recommend that you choose the 8g N2O cartridge.

After leaving overnight, no remaining gas
1. The more space in the barrel, the more gas that needs to be pressurized. Was the keg pressurized before you left, or did you just inject some gas into the empty space? (briefly pull the release valve and the gas should gush out)
2. Liquid absorbs gas. Pure nitrogen in particular dissolves into the coffee, which is what creates the cascading bubble effect when the coffee is poured. When a gas dissolves into a liquid, the pressure drops.
3. You have a leak. Check that all connections, nuts, etc. are tight and leak free.

bubble dissipates quickly
1. The coffee is not refrigerated, make sure the coffee is as refrigerated as possible. Nitrogen won't cool coffee in kegs, you'll still need to chill them in the fridge or in ice cubes.
2. The coffee was not shaken well. After infusing the gas, you need to shake the coffee well enough to dissolve the gas into it.
water dripping from faucet
With stout/coffee/nitro spouts, the tap always drips after pouring. A good stout tap has the least amount of dripping because it's designed differently and is nitro specific.
