Zinc alloy anodeCast from high grade zinc alloy to ensure uniform corrosion pattern, reliable electrical efficiency and long service life. Anodes meet ASTM B418 Class I standards and US MIL-A-18001K.
The protective properties of zinc anodes arise from a strongly negative reduction potential, more negative than the metal it protects. Oxidizers that corrode metal will oxidize the zinc anode instead of the protected metal structure, preventing the structure from corroding.

Zinc anodes are recommended for saltwater applications, most commonly found in marine applications such as hulls, tanks, rudders and docks. They are also commonly used in underground storage tanks and pipelines.
Zinc anodes corrode more easily than the material they protect, keeping corrosion away from the equipment.
