Structure and Theory
2.1 System structure
The system structure is generally divided into the following parts: acquisition module, discharge module, central processing module, display module, control module, alarm notification module and buttons.
The acquisition module collects battery voltage, current, temperature, internal resistance and other parameters in time; the central processing module will switch, analyze and calculate the collected information; the display module is mainly used to display the test results and present the parameter settings of the control module to the instrument , and then the display module uploads the information to the PC through the 232 serial port (485, Ethernet) to realize remote monitoring; the monitoring host computer software can memorize and analyze the information, and then generate a local alarm. In addition, it sends alerts to designated mobile phones via GSM and MODEM.

2.3 Security
The DC discharge internal resistance test method is to test the internal resistance according to the working characteristics of the battery, and it is a method based on the working mode of the battery. Under normal circumstances, the battery can provide continuous and constant 0.1C current for nearly 10 hours; at the same time, it can also provide 1C high current instantaneously for several minutes or tens of minutes.
The method of DC discharge test internal resistance will not affect the performance and life of the battery. The battery is allowed to discharge with a large current for a short time, but the battery will be damaged due to overcharging or an unqualified charger, so avoid overcharging. Sometimes, the battery will be discharged with a current of hundreds of amperes; sometimes, due to the power failure of the base station in the computer room, it is generally discharged for more than a few hours with tens of amperes. This will not damage the battery, but a battery that floats without being discharged can be easily damaged.
The TOPUKE1200 battery online monitoring system performs shallow discharge with a current of 20-30 amps for a duration of 3.25 seconds; and its discharge capacity is less than 1/300 (for a battery with a capacity of 200Ah, the larger the capacity, the less the discharge capacity). When the battery voltage drop is only 0.01V-1V (depending on the battery capacity and performance), it will not cause the float action.
This method of testing internal resistance can be performed weekly to predict low-frequency battery aging.
Therefore, it will not cause any damage to the battery, but will often stimulate the battery to prolong its service life. The so-called impact on life is mostly used by manufacturers of the AC injection method to promote the AC method. Objectively, both methods are implemented in accordance with normal testing and do not reduce battery life or damage the battery.
