Wire Rope Isolators are stable mounting components of high quality wire rope secured with strong metal anchors. Each isolating element has specific response characteristics depending on the diameter of the wire rope, the number of strands, the length of the cable, the twist or stranding of the cable, and the number of cables per section.
Intrinsic damping is provided by flex hysteresis, the friction and sliding friction between strands of the wire rope.
Wire Rope Isolators provide a higher level of isolation than any other media or design, with excellent shock absorption. Cable supports are truly unique and are suitable for a wide range of physical and engineering requirements, including virtually all isolation needs. They shatter the notion that a single mount cannot handle both shock and vibration.
