High-quality mud mixing system for oilfield workover rigs

The mud mixing system will mix new mud or stored mud depending on the mud tank size. A complete mud mixing system will include a mud mixing tank, mixing pump, mixing hopper, mud agitator, pipes and valves, etc. The mud tank size and equipment model selection will depend on the mixing requirements of the construction site. Main specifications of mud mixing system:

1. Determine the mud mixing speed requirements. The mud mixing speeds are 200GPM, 500GPM, 800GPM, and 1000GPM. Different mud flow rates require matching mud mixing pumps and mud mixing buckets of different sizes, as well as pipes of appropriate sizes.

2. Mixed mud tank size is customized but 4000x2000x2000mm, 20ft and 40ft are 3 main popular options. Or customers can list the mud tank capacity and AIPU will provide mud tank size options for suggestion.

3. The size, shaft depth and impeller size of the mud agitator will be determined as recommended by the engineer based on the tank size and drilling mud conditions.

4. The mixing pump will be installed on the mixing tank slide rails, and the mixing hopper can be optionally installed on the tank slide rails or tank top. The tank top can be installed with a grille or patterned plate as required.

Layout of mud mixing tank:

The mud mixing tank is usually located at the end of the mud tank and closes the mud chemical storage to facilitate mixing. The mixing pump suction and discharge lines will be connected to all clean mud storage tanks and the mud pump suction line. The connection between the tanks is usually a union connection to allow for quick movement and connection. The mud mixing tank will retain additional valves at each connection for easy operation.
